Kentucky

Kentucky's mild climate is pleasant but humid, with warm summers and moderate winters. However, the state is no stranger to extreme weather-from severe ice storms in winter to thunderstorms and tornadoes in spring and summer. Spring is the rainiest season, with the southern part of the state receiving the greatest rainfall. Severe storms, high winds, tornadoes, flooding and mudslides can occur.
