Michigan

Bordered by four of the five great lakes, this state gets a good deal of precipitation due to condensation. Heavy snowfall is common in the north, and along the "snow belt" area of the west coast of Lake Michigan. Icing and flooding occurs in many regions. Severe thunderstorms can occur in the southern part of the lower peninsula, along with tornadoes in spring and summer.
